About the role#
Chevron is seeking Petroleum Engineer Interns for the 2026-2027 season. Interns join multi-disciplinary teams, working alongside geologists, data scientists, and facility engineers. You will be assigned to production and reservoir engineering roles focused on asset development planning, reserves, risk management, and capital project development. Every intern is paired with a mentor to provide project guidance and support.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills through specific production and reservoir engineering assignments.
- Contribute value to the company by completing assigned projects.
- Participate in asset development planning and production operations.
- Work within a collaborative team environment to solve engineering challenges.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic performance in core coursework.
- Proficiency in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Previous experience in an integrated oil or international service company internship is preferred.
- Ability to drive on a routine basis if required by the assignment.
- Note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Hourly or monthly rates are determined based on your specific discipline, degree level, and academic year.
