About the role#
Earth Science interns contribute to projects that add value to Chevron operations. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams that include geologists, geophysicists, and engineers. Throughout the internship, you will receive guidance from both a supervisor and a technical mentor.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in geoscience, geophysics, and petrophysics assignments focused on exploration and development.
- Collaborate with team members on projects related to reservoir characterization and well operations.
- Gain practical experience with geoscience coding, data science, and machine learning.
- Apply your academic background to real-world energy industry challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s or Doctorate thesis program, or less than 2 years of post-graduate degree experience.
- Academic or professional focus in a technical area aligned with Chevron business needs, including Environmental Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong academic performance.
- Prior experience with industry workflows for subsurface characterization is preferred.
- Ability to drive on a routine basis if required by the position.
