About the role#
This summer internship offers a rotational experience across the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams at Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. You will gain exposure to the employee lifecycle while supporting recruiting initiatives, candidate engagement, and the administration of our Learning Management System. This role is for students interested in human resources, recruiting, communications, or organizational development.
What you'll do#
- Support recruitment activities including job postings, application reviews, interview coordination, and pre-employment processes.
- Assist with internship, early-career, and apprenticeship recruiting programs.
- Research colleges, professional organizations, and community partners to identify talent sources.
- Contribute to projects that strengthen talent pipelines and the candidate experience.
- Create and maintain learning resources and support training projects by tracking timelines and stakeholder feedback.
- Manage Learning Management System administration, including course setup, enrollment, and record maintenance.
- Ensure LMS data accuracy by performing audits, reviewing reports, and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and various HR and IT partners.
- Complete a cross-functional project that connects talent attraction with the employee experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Instructional Design, Education, or Organizational Development.
- A genuine interest in recruiting, employee learning, or related HR disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Availability to work full-time throughout the summer.
- Prior experience in customer service, administration, campus leadership, or training is a plus.
- Familiarity with adult-learning principles, learning management systems, or project management is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is hybrid and requires the ability to work within a commutable distance to a Delaware office location in Dover or Newark.
