About the role#
Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is hiring an Accounting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Newark, Delaware. You will work within a supportive team environment while gaining hands-on experience in corporate accounting.
What you'll do#
- Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Complete balance sheet fluctuation analysis.
- Assist with the business unit accounting close process.
- Support external auditors during financial statement audits.
- Help with special projects related to the company ERP implementation.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Accounting.
- You have strong analytical skills and pay close attention to detail.
- You possess good communication skills.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel.
