About the role#
Chesapeake Utilities Corporation offers a paid engineering internship for the Summer 2027 term. This position operates on a hybrid schedule and is open to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, with a specific focus on mechanical and civil disciplines.
What you'll do#
Interns support the engineering department through several key project areas. You will assist with the design of natural gas pipelines and stations. Your work includes helping with material procurement and managing engineering consultants. You will also participate in the permitting and approval process for projects, while supporting ongoing team initiatives and internal processes.
What you'll need#
Candidates must hold a high school diploma. You should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering.
Location & details#
This role is based in Salisbury, Maryland, or across our service territories in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. This is a part-time, paid internship.
