About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience supporting energy utility projects from planning through execution. You will work alongside project managers and project controls professionals to coordinate activities, track schedules and budgets, and prepare reports. The role provides insight into how project management, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration deliver energy solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support project managers with planning, coordination, documentation, and follow-up on project tasks, meetings, and stakeholder communications.
- Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, action items, dependencies, and risks.
- Help prepare project estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost updates to understand how scope and resources impact project performance.
- Monitor project controls data, including schedules, costs, and reporting dashboards, to support decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather project information, update documentation, and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Gain exposure to project management and project controls practices within a regulated energy utility environment.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in a related field, such as Project Management or Engineering.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is hybrid or remote. You must reside in one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, or Florida.
