About the role#
The Office of University Advancement is seeking a student employee for the Summer 2026 term. This role focuses on facilitating alumni engagement and outreach while supporting the Donor Relations team. You will assist with event preparation, manage alumni communications, and track solicitations, gifts, and event attendance. This is a paid, hybrid position that involves a mix of office work, remote assignments, and occasional evening or weekend event responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain a social media campaign to engage alumni.
- Research and compile alumni success stories for print, electronic, and social media channels.
- Craft responses to general alumni inquiries, including event registrations and congratulatory or condolence letters.
- Develop a working knowledge of the alumni database.
- Create and coordinate the distribution of time-sensitive materials.
- Research and analyze marketing and communication strategies used by peer institutions.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Chatham University student.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and engagement strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Public Health, Marketing, Psychology, or Business Administration.
