About the role#
This position supports the maintenance of the Shadyside Campus grounds. You will work under the direction of the Head Groundskeeper and the Assistant Director of Campus Services to ensure the campus remains clean and manicured. This is a paid, on-site, part-time summer role for the 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily maintenance tasks to keep campus grounds clean and well-kept.
- Assist with various groundskeeping duties as assigned based on campus needs.
- Notify other managers if you hold multiple jobs on campus simultaneously.
- Adhere to established work hour limitations, including the cap of 980 hours per calendar year.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Chatham University.
- Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, or Civil Engineering.
