Summer Shadyside Campus Student Groundskeeper

About the role#

This position assists with the maintenance of the grounds at the Shadyside Campus. Working under the direction of the Head Groundskeeper and the Assistant Director of Campus Services, you will perform daily tasks to ensure the campus remains clean and manicured. Additional duties may be assigned based on program and campus needs.

What you'll do#

• Maintain campus grounds to keep areas clean and manicured.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks as directed.
• Coordinate with other campus managers if holding multiple positions.
• Adhere to all university work hour limitations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student at Chatham University.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Academic background in Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, or Civil Engineering is preferred.

• Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Status: Paid, part-time position.
• Note: Student employees must not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year and must notify existing managers if working multiple jobs on campus.
