About the role#
The Summer Global Engagement Student Assistant works with the Director and Coordinator of Global Engagement to support office initiatives. This role involves planning and executing activities for current and incoming students, including preparation for international student orientation and the upcoming academic year. This is a paid, on-site position located at the Falk Hall office on the Shadyside campus.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and execution of events, including the creation of handouts and presentations.
- Manage office communications, including designing and posting content for social media.
- Respond to verbal and written inquiries from current and prospective students.
- Support staff by processing applications and materials for programs such as Chatham field experiences, Chatham Semester, and Chatham International Internships.
- Update materials for upcoming academic terms.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- An interest in learning about other cultures.
- Ability to assist with office communications and event logistics.
- No prior experience is required. International students and students with study abroad experience are encouraged to apply.

- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Shadyside campus).
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Status: Part-time, on-site.
- Note: Students are limited to a maximum of 980 work hours per calendar year.
