About the role#
The College of Arts & Sciences at Chatham University is seeking a Student Assistant to support the office of Dean MacNeil. This role involves managing daily administrative operations and assisting with departmental communications. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Answer phones and greet office visitors.
- Handle clerical duties including filing, copying, typing, and database management.
- Prepare mailings and deliver interoffice mail.
- Perform general office maintenance.
- Compose and manage social media posts for the College of Arts & Sciences.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Dean or Office Coordinator.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel, and familiarity with myChatham.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling official records.
