About the role#
This is a full-time, live-on professional position focused on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for students. You will serve as a visible and accessible presence within the residence halls to support student retention, personal growth, and academic success. You will reside in a college-provided apartment and work across campus departments to help students feel at home at Albright.
What you'll do#
- Build inclusive residential communities and develop initiatives that foster connections between students, faculty, and staff.
- Identify students at risk of leaving or disengaging and work with the Student Success Coach to provide outreach and support.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of Resident Assistants.
- Participate in a professional on-call rotation to provide crisis response and emergency support.
- Manage housing operations such as move-in and move-out processes, room inspections, and facilities follow-up.
- Plan and host co-curricular events, including those held on evenings and weekends.
- Advise student clubs and organizations on leadership development and event planning.
- Promote campus events using communication strategies and social media.
- Maintain accurate records for incident reporting, programming, and residence life operations.
- Uphold community standards to ensure a safe and respectful living environment.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree.
- At least one year of post-graduate experience in student leadership, residential life, or peer mentorship.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to student-centered service and community-building.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- You must live on campus in a college-provided apartment.
- Familiarity with student development theory, event planning, and residence hall operations is preferred.
- An interest in supporting special student populations, such as first-generation or international students, is a plus.
