About the role#
This clinical internship offers hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health. Interns work under the supervision of staff to provide support to community members of all ages and their families. This position is unpaid and requires a commitment of 20 to 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Conduct individual and family therapy sessions for clients receiving mental and behavioral health services.
- Observe and participate in professional therapy services.
- Collect and manage client data.
- Assist with program duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a master’s degree program for marriage and family therapy (MFT) with status in the final year of study.
- Interest in gaining clinical experience with adults, children, and families.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong detail-oriented skills and the ability to work effectively with data.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Location: Nashville, Tennessee, with placements available in Murfreesboro City Schools.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Note: Selected candidates must complete a background check and provide five professional references.
