About the role#
Centerstone offers a Fall 2026 graduate clinical internship for students enrolled in a doctoral program. This position provides supervised clinical experience in a community-based outpatient setting, allowing students to work with individuals and families receiving mental and behavioral health services. Interns work alongside licensed clinicians to develop skills in assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
What you'll do#
- Participate in clinical training and supervision provided by Centerstone staff.
- Observe and gradually participate in individual and family therapy sessions.
- Conduct therapy sessions with individuals and families under supervision.
- Assist with clinical assessments, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Engage in professional development opportunities throughout the internship.
- Collect and maintain client data and clinical records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team collaboration and case discussions.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a doctoral program in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Human Resources, or a related behavioral health discipline.
- Eligibility for clinical internship or practicum credit through an academic program.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to support data collection and documentation.

- Location: Clarksville, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, 20 to 40 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship for academic credit.
