About the role#
Centerstone Chattanooga is seeking interns to join the team for the school year. This role provides an opportunity to gain clinical experience within a school-based setting while also supporting clinic operations as needed. Interns work under the supervision of school-based team leaders, clinical supervisors, or therapists.
What you'll do#
- Shadow school-based staff to learn the expectations and responsibilities of a school-based therapist.
- Provide assessments, case coordination, and individual, group, and family counseling to service recipients under supervision.
- Maintain a caseload throughout the school year.
- Plan and lead at least one group session weekly, including preparing resources and writing group notes.
- Maintain documentation standards within 24 hours of service.
- Participate in weekly supervision provided by Centerstone and fulfill requirements from your academic program.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree and current enrollment in a master's level counseling program (such as Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work).
- Status as a student in good standing within your master's program.
- Ability to commit to a consistent number of hours each week for the duration of the school year.
