About the role#
Centerstone offers an internship for bachelor and master level students interested in mental and behavioral health. You will work within a clinic setting in Clarksville, Tennessee, gaining hands-on experience by interacting with clients and their families. This role focuses on children ages 1.5 to 6 years old. You will be supervised and trained by Centerstone staff throughout the duration of your internship.
What you'll do#
- Support individuals and families receiving mental and behavioral health services.
- Collect and manage client data.
- Participate in case management processes.
- Facilitate 1 to 3 meetings with parents during your internship.
- Assist with program duties to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Learn to clean, analyze, and visualize data using Microsoft Excel.
- Create one-pagers and presentations to communicate data findings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in public health, social sciences, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in working with children and their families.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to commit to 20 to 40 hours per week.
Location & details#
- Location: Clarksville, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Program operating days are Tuesday and Thursday, which are mandatory unless they conflict with academic requirements. Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- Requirements: Selected candidates must complete a background check and provide five references.
