About the role#
Cedars-Sinai is offering an 8-week ICU Internship Program starting in January 2027. This program is based in the 7SCCT unit, a 24-bed Medical and Respiratory Intensive Care Unit. You will care for patients with acute medical issues including sepsis, respiratory conditions, GI bleeding, and post-lung transplant recovery. Participants must complete the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) course as part of their training. Please note that this position requires an 18-month work commitment on the unit following the completion of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform careful assessments of critical patient conditions.
- Plan and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Operate life support systems and provide intensive therapy.
- Administer medications and therapeutic agents.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Document patient care services to ensure safety and comfort.
- Initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN or higher degree.
- Current California State RN License.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute RN experience.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support certification, valid for at least 60 days from the hire date.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a critical care team.
