About the role#
The Research Intern role is part of the Toro Health Pathways/Cedars-Sinai Postbaccalaureate Fellowship. This nine-month program supports recent graduates from California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) who are preparing for graduate education or careers in biomedicine and healthcare. You will join the Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine Program to work on clinical research projects, receive structured mentorship, and gain experience in research workflows.
What you'll do#
- Conduct literature reviews on topics such as cancer prehabilitation and pain syndromes.
- Support patient recruitment following approved protocols.
- Collect and analyze quantitative data from electronic medical records.
- Manage research data and perform data entry tasks.
- Contribute to manuscript development and the preparation of a final report.
- Participate in weekly meetings with your mentor to track progress and discuss research questions.
- Learn to use research management tools and handle protected health information securely.
What you'll need#
- You must be a recent graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH).
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- You must reside in the greater Los Angeles area or surrounding cities for the duration of the fellowship.
- An interest in fields such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in West Hollywood, California.
- The fellowship runs from September 2026 through May 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
