About the role#
Ceco Concrete Construction L.L.C. is hiring an Engineer Intern to join our team in Stoughton, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work on-site and support our engineering, fabrication, and project management teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the production of shop and field drawings and prepare documents to align with project schedules.
- Manage material purchases, including forecasting, tracking, and performing physical inventory duties.
- Process and document shop and erection drawings for fabrication approval.
- Maintain digital files for design drawings, shop releases, and as-built documents.
- Perform CNC and CAM file conversion and processing.
- Handle RFI and submittal management, including logging and distribution.
- Review change orders and perform material take-offs.
- Update shop schedules and monitor fabrication and subcontractor delivery deadlines.
- Update and audit safety postings and procedures.
- Manage administrative aspects of contracts and assist with reports for upper management.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Familiarity with reading structural drawings and construction documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members, customers, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to analyze and organize large amounts of project information.
- Ability to travel and work on projects outside of the office area.
