About the role#
The Construction Intern supports the planning and execution phases of concrete construction projects. You will gain hands-on experience in formwork design, project estimating, scheduling, and safety tracking. This is a one-on-one learning experience where you will work with engineers, managers, and field teams to see how classroom knowledge translates into real-world application.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure efficient and safe form systems.
- Assist with the preparation of accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews.
- Monitor the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve concerns regarding structural design with the project team.
- Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting.
- Prepare quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and project proposals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM Modeling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel and work on projects outside of the office area for extended periods.
