About the role#
The Concrete Construction Intern supports the planning and execution phases of projects. You will work alongside engineers, managers, and field teams to gain practical experience in formwork design, project estimating, and scheduling. This position is designed as a one-on-one learning experience to help you translate classroom knowledge into real-world application.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure efficient and safe form systems.
- Prepare formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews.
- Monitor safety, project costs, and construction schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve structural design concerns with the project team.
- Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting.
- Assist with quantity surveys and project proposals.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or BIM Modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and work on projects outside of the office area for extended periods.
