About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in concrete construction. You will work with engineers, managers, and field teams to see how classroom concepts apply to real projects. The goal is to build practical skills and gain career direction through a one-on-one learning experience. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and estimating phase to ensure efficient, safe, and economical form systems.
- Prepare formwork layout drawings and instructions for field crews.
- Monitor project safety, costs, and schedules alongside the project team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve structural design concerns.
- Help prepare quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and proposals.
- Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, and forecasting.
- Manage special projects and assist with general organizational support tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM Modeling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You must be able to travel and work on projects outside of the office area for extended periods.
Location & details#
This role is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Columbus, Ohio. It is an on-site, full-time position with a rolling term. Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship.
