About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in concrete construction by supporting both planning and execution phases. You will work alongside engineers, managers, and field teams to see how classroom knowledge applies to real-world projects. The role focuses on formwork design, project estimating, scheduling, and safety tracking. You will gain practical skills and insight into construction project management.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and estimating stage to ensure efficient, safe, and economical form systems.
- Prepare formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews.
- Monitor project safety, costs, and schedules with the project team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve structural design concerns.
- Prepare quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and project proposals.
- Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, and tracking to ensure resource utilization.
- Manage special projects and assist with general organizational support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM Modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and work on projects outside the office area for extended periods.
