About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Tax Intern position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah, gaining practical experience across various tax assignments.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments for industries like Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Help with IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, and gift and estate filings.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of client assignments.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff to ensure high service standards.
- Uphold professional conduct and maintain client confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in student organizations or prior accounting work is a plus.
