About the role#
As a Tax Intern at CBIZ, you will gain hands-on experience in the tax field while supporting our teams across various industries, including real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing. You will participate in client engagements from start to finish, helping us provide high-quality service to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments across diverse industries.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, and individuals.
- Support tax compliance work, including IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, and gift and estate returns.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with client staff.
- Uphold professional standards, client confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all interactions.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization.
- Capacity to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and related software.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Active involvement in student organizations or previous accounting work experience is a plus.

- This position is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
