About the role#
CBIZ is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Melville, New York. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting tax assignments across diverse industries such as Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments for various clients.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Help with IRS audits, tax notice responses, and trust, gift, and estate returns.
- Work on client projects from the initial planning phase through completion.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff.
- Follow professional standards regarding client confidentiality and conduct.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Strong skills in research, project management, and analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internal software.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in accounting or participation in student organizations is helpful but not required.
