About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Summer 2027 internship at CBIZ. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting in the planning and execution of client assignments across various industries, including real estate, construction, manufacturing, and nonprofits.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning multiple client assignments.
- Apply your understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures.
- Participate in client projects from beginning to end.
- Identify and communicate technical matters and improvement opportunities to senior staff to help resolve client issues.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
- Maintain professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems.
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- Active participation in student organizations or prior work experience in accounting is a plus.
