About the role#
This is a paid internship for the Summer of 2027 based in Bloomington, Illinois. You will work under the direction of the Retail Tax Compliance Supervisor to support financial analysis, business planning, and operational improvement initiatives. This position provides exposure to various areas of the business while you work alongside experienced leaders.
What you'll do#
- Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Analyze financial and operational data to spot trends, efficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Support projects focused on profitability, cost management, and overall business performance.
- Assist with financial system implementations and technology initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
- Participate in facility visits to understand operations.
- Collaborate with employees across multiple departments and locations.
- Complete and present a final summer internship project.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business, Economics, or Business Analytics.
- Status of at least a second-semester junior or first-semester senior when the internship begins.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 weeks starting by May 24, 2027.
- Ability to attend three required internship events: an orientation in May, a mid-summer meeting in June, and a conclusion meeting in August.
