About the role#
CBIZ is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in New York. You will work across diverse industries including real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments for various clients.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, and individuals.
- Support tax compliance work, including IRS audits, tax notice responses, and trust, gift, and estate returns.
- Participate in client assignments from start to finish.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff.
- Maintain high standards for professional conduct and client confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, research, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems independently.
- Participation in student organizations or prior work experience in accounting is a plus.
