About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy operations. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundations of the industry and prepare for a future career. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Antigo, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Operate equipment and technology for field research and crop monitoring.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Gain experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Work in extreme weather conditions and at various heights as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Ability to work independently.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator's license with required endorsements.
- Ability to travel independently and stay overnight when necessary.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds.
