About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Drayton, Ontario. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of the agricultural business, including logistics, inventory management, and client interaction. This role is designed to help you build foundational skills for a future career in agribusiness.
What you'll do#
- Learn how products move through the supply chain from order processing to delivery.
- Support daily administrative tasks including documentation, invoicing, and inventory reconciliation.
- Work with customers and team members to answer questions and process orders.
- Build proficiency in office systems, data entry, and record management.
- Expand your knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection, seed products, and grain operations.
- Gain experience with ordering, receiving, and product quality processes.
- Participate in program activities and networking opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing your experience and growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a related college or university program with plans to return to school in the fall.
- A valid G driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
- A valid passport and any required visas to travel to the United States.
- Ability to travel independently.
- Mandatory attendance at the Exploring Agriculture Conference in Bloomington, IL, from May 17-18, 2027.
