About the role#
Salvagnini America is hiring an Accounting & Finance Intern to support our finance team in Hamilton, Ohio. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on experience with daily financial operations and administrative tasks. You will work directly with our staff on projects that contribute to our financial reporting and record-keeping processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including data entry and invoice review.
- Help with the period-close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Create routine financial reports, summaries, and spreadsheets for management.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements against internal records.
- Maintain and organize tax and financial documentation.
- Manage fixed asset records, including tracking additions, retirements, and depreciation schedules.
- Handle general administrative and operational duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one year of coursework in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Experience with accounting software like SAP or QuickBooks is a plus.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
