About the role#
We are looking for a Business Operations Intern to join our team in Michigan City. This role provides administrative support to our leadership team and helps keep our office running smoothly. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional services environment while supporting various regional projects and day-to-day operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support including copying, scanning, and mail coordination.
- Help with calendar management, meeting preparation, and receptionist duties.
- Assist guests and visitors and process expense reports.
- Create and update business documents like memos and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
- Answer questions from clients and internal staff, directing them to the right resources.
- Work on special administrative projects and other office priorities as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently within a team.
- High attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
- Capacity to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Location & details#
- Location: Michigan City, Indiana.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week during core business hours.
- Modality: Hybrid role, requiring you to be onsite at least three days per week.
- Flexibility: You must be able to work in blocks of at least two hours throughout the week, with occasional work outside core hours if needed.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
