About the role#
The Integrated Innovation Institute (iii) at Carnegie Mellon University is hiring an intern to support corporate outreach and business development. You will work with the Associate Director of Corporate Outreach and New Engagement to grow partnerships that connect organizations with student talent, professional education, and industry-sponsored projects. This role involves interacting with a wide range of companies, from startups to Fortune 500 firms.
What you'll do#
- Research and identify prospective corporate partners that align with iii programs.
- Maintain prospect lists and outreach pipelines using CRM tools.
- Support campaigns to promote online certificates and capstone sponsorship opportunities.
- Draft personalized outreach communications, including emails and LinkedIn messages.
- Conduct market research on companies and corporate learning programs.
- Prepare briefing materials for partnership meetings and track outreach activity.
- Represent the institute at networking and employer-facing events.

Location & details#
- This is a part-time, paid internship based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The role is hybrid and requires a commitment of approximately 30 hours per week for six months.
- You may need to attend occasional evening networking or community events.
