About the role#
As a Price Risk Solutions Intern, you will work within the animal nutrition and health business to assess price drivers and navigate risk in commodity markets. This role focuses on building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help our customers manage their price risk. You will gain hands-on experience in economics, risk assessment, and decision-making while contributing to projects that improve work processes.
What you'll do#
- Analyze supply and demand, survey market conditions, and evaluate other economic forces.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with Cargill teams, including sales, trading, commercial, contracting, and trade product control.
- Learn customer segmentation and how to assess specific customer risk profiles.
- Complete and present a project focused on improving work processes and customer interaction.
- Make occasional visits to plants and external customers.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Agriculture, or Communications.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness when working with limited guidance.
- Ability to complete a 12-week internship.
- Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate to Wayzata, MN.
- Right to work in the U.S. without reliance on a student visa or third-party sponsorship.
