Crown is seeking students for a Summer 2026 co-op or internship opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid position focused on gaining hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks.
- Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer equipment.
- Maintain a service van and its associated inventory.
- Process necessary paperwork upon the completion of each job.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Less than 2 years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to safely operate lift trucks.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
- Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan tasks, and follow through to completion.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
