This is a paid, full-time Service Intern/Co-Op position based in Madison, Wisconsin, for the Summer 2026 term. This role provides hands-on experience in the material handling industry, focusing on the maintenance and repair of lift trucks.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks.
- Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer equipment.
- Complete and process all necessary paperwork following each job.
- Participate in ongoing training activities.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently working toward a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proficiency with electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer care.
