About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position based on-site in Celina, Ohio. You will work in an assembly and manufacturing environment to support the maintenance and refurbishment of lift trucks.
What you'll do#
- Inspect used trucks returning from the field to create parts lists and work orders.
- Manage parts inventory by receiving orders from the distribution center and committing parts to specific trucks.
- Coordinate with the distribution center regarding errors or missing parts.
- Remove and replace standard and defective components on lift trucks.
- Prepare trucks for paint by steam cleaning, repairing metal surfaces with body filler, and using sanding tools.
- Perform spray painting, decal installation, and detailing.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
- Inspect finished trucks to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment.
- Handle necessary paperwork and keep your work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety rules and health standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agricultural Equipment Technology, Automotive/Diesel Technology, or a related program.
- Ability to use common hand tools, test meters, and basic computer functions.
- Skill in reading and understanding wiring diagrams.
- A mechanical background is preferred.
- Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach above shoulder level, and lift up to 50 pounds.
