About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will focus on resident retention and leasing current and future apartment availability. You will work as part of a team to maintain occupancy goals and provide customer service to residents and prospective clients. This is a temporary, non-exempt position.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and determine their housing needs.
- Present the community and apartment homes to potential residents.
- Manage administrative front desk tasks and answer leasing calls.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Assist with planning community events and maintaining the tour path.
- Participate in required training programs.
- Handle on-call responsibilities such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college with at least one year completed.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and access all areas of the property.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community, living on a designated floor.

- Location: Columbus, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
- Interns must re-apply for the position annually.
