About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will focus on maintaining high occupancy levels through resident retention and leasing activities. You will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, acting as an ambassador for customer service while gaining hands-on experience in the real estate industry.
What you'll do#
- Act as an ambassador for customer service by ensuring resident satisfaction and maintaining a positive community environment.
- Complete lease applications, manage lease file paperwork, and ensure all documentation remains accurate and compliant with company policy.
- Participate in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training, which includes greeting clients, answering leasing calls, conducting tours, and closing sales.
- Assist with the planning and execution of community events and various property projects.
- Handle administrative front desk tasks and maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a professional community appearance.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds, as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with at least one year completed and a minimum of 6 credit hours.
- A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and navigate all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and reside on the designated floor per community guidelines.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
