About the role#
The Leasing Community Intern serves as both a digital storyteller and a community representative. This role balances customer service and administrative tasks with the creative management of the community's social media presence. The primary objective is to support occupancy goals through resident retention, digital marketing, and sales.
What you'll do#
- Shoot, edit, and post high-energy Reels, TikToks, and Stories showcasing the community, apartment tours, and local highlights.
- Manage the social media inbox, responding to direct messages and comments to convert followers into prospective residents.
- Greet prospective clients, answer leasing calls, and conduct professional tours of the community and apartment homes.
- Utilize feature and benefit selling techniques to close sales and follow up with leads.
- Handle front desk operations, process lease applications, and maintain accurate file documentation according to company policy.
- Plan and document community events.
- Assist with resident life tasks, including maintaining tour paths and providing support for nightly rounds or lock-outs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least one year of studies completed and a minimum of 6 credit hours.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and reside on a designated floor as assigned.
- Natural ability on camera and experience with social media trends using platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Canva.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and navigate all indoor and outdoor areas of the property in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration is preferred.
