About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will play a key role in maintaining property occupancy and delivering high-quality customer service to residents. This position involves balancing administrative duties with active leasing responsibilities, including touring prospective clients and managing lease documentation. You will work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, and must reside on-site at the designated community.
What you'll do#
- Act as a customer service ambassador to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Manage the full leasing process, from greeting prospective clients and answering calls to conducting tours, closing sales, and completing lease applications.
- Maintain accurate lease file documentation and participate in file audits.
- Assist with planning community events and support various projects assigned by the Community Manager.
- Perform administrative front desk tasks and maintain the cleanliness of the tour path.
- Participate in required company training programs.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university (minimum 6 credit hours) with at least one year completed.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all areas of the property, including indoor and outdoor spaces in various weather conditions.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, or Communications.

- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- This is a paid, non-exempt, temporary position that requires an annual re-application.
