Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for customer service, ensuring resident satisfaction and supporting the community's occupancy goals. This role involves a mix of administrative tasks, sales, and community engagement. You will work closely with the Community Manager to maintain property standards and assist with daily operations.

What you'll do#

• Act as a primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, including answering calls and conducting apartment tours.
• Process lease applications and maintain accurate lease file documentation according to company policy.
• Participate in lease file audits as directed by the Community Manager.
• Assist in planning and executing community events to foster resident engagement.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression for visitors.
• Support the team with various additional community projects and administrative tasks.
• Perform on-call duties such as lock-outs and nightly rounds as required.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program (Business Administration, Real Estate, or Communications preferred).
• Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.
• A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in various weather conditions, as the role requires accessing all areas of the property.
• Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community, residing on the designated community floor.
