About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a key member of the property team, focusing on customer service, resident retention, and leasing efforts. You will work on-site to assist with administrative tasks, community events, and the leasing process to help the property reach its occupancy goals. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Act as a customer service ambassador by addressing resident needs and providing support.
- Manage administrative front desk duties, including answering calls and greeting prospective clients.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate lease file documentation according to company policy.
- Participate in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training and pass third-party leasing shops to become certified.
- Assist with planning community events and various property projects.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive impression for visitors.
- Perform on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds, as required.
- Participate in Cardinal U training sessions.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and a minimum of one year completed.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community, with the requirement to live on the designated community floor.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks, including walking the property and working in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
