About the role#
This internship provides experience in loan application analysis, data validation, and administrative support within the Commercial Credit department. You will work under the supervision of management to assist with loan origination documentation and gain insight into how banking operations function.
What you'll do#
- Review loan applications to ensure they meet program compliance requirements.
- Perform data validation to verify that all information is accurate.
- Confirm that financial submissions have the necessary supporting documentation.
- Enter data into loan origination systems for new requests.
- Coordinate with loan officers to resolve application errors or missing documentation.
- Complete daily follow-up tasks to ensure files are complete.
- Assist the commercial credit and operations teams with ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Comfort working with technology and a natural curiosity about banking processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in Louisville, Kentucky.
- The term is rolling.
- This role requires authorization to work in the United States, as sponsorship is not available.
- You may need to travel between Republic Banking facilities.
- The schedule is flexible and may include some evenings, weekends, or overtime.
