About the role#
EDF Trading is hiring four commercial interns for the Summer 2027 term. This paid internship provides exposure to wholesale energy markets and offers the potential for future full-time opportunities or returning internships. You will work directly on projects that support our teams in areas such as commercial asset management, trading, energy analytics, and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to actual business projects that align with your professional goals.
- Participate in industry training, community service, and networking events with functional leaders.
- Receive ongoing coaching and regular performance assessments from your manager and mentor.
- Present your work and findings to the leadership team and key stakeholders at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, or Accounting.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Windows, Office, and Excel.
- The ability to analyze large data sets and draw actionable conclusions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Preference for candidates with previous internship experience or a record of leadership in extracurricular activities.
- Technical skills in SQL, Python, or Tableau are preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, Texas.
- You must be available for a minimum of ten consecutive weeks.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must possess valid work authorization.
