About the role#
The Leasing Community Intern role focuses on maintaining high occupancy levels through resident retention and leasing activities. This position requires a commitment to customer service and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Interns assist with daily administrative tasks, property tours, and community events to ensure a positive resident experience.
What you'll do#
- Deliver high-quality customer service to residents and prospective clients.
- Participate in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training program and certification.
- Handle administrative front desk duties and answer leasing inquiries.
- Process lease applications and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Conduct property tours and assist with feature and benefit selling.
- Help plan and execute community events.
- Maintain the cleanliness of tour paths to ensure a positive first impression.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with at least one year completed and a minimum of 6 credit hours.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Current or future leaseholder status at the community.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and physically access all parts of the property.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration or Real Estate.
