About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a key point of contact for our residents and prospective clients. You will help maintain our community occupancy goals by assisting with leasing availability and resident retention. This is a temporary, part-time role that requires you to live on-site at the designated community.
What you'll do#
- Act as a customer service ambassador to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Manage front desk administrative duties and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Guide prospective clients through the community, explain apartment features, and close lease agreements.
- Process lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Help plan and execute community events for residents.
- Assist the Community Manager with various community projects as needed.
- Participate in required training programs to stay current on company leasing standards.
- Perform on-call duties, such as lock-outs or nightly rounds, which include evening and weekend hours.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least six credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of higher education.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and access all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
