About the role#
As a SLATE Summer Associate, you will gain exposure to the financial services industry while working with Capital Group service models and American Funds products. This role focuses on building sales and presentation skills through training and hands-on experience. Successful completion of this internship may lead to a full-time offer as a SLATE Associate in Los Angeles.
What you'll do#
- Develop a working knowledge of the finance industry and Capital Group products.
- Observe Internal Wholesalers during calls with Financial Advisors to understand client relationships.
- Lead project work to meet business goals using technology and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with associates and senior leaders across various sales and support roles.
- Refine presentation and consultative skills through training and a final summer project.
- Work on projects designed to streamline operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation in Spring 2028.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A strong interest in the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience in a sales or customer service role, or a clear passion for sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for the summer.
- Majors in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
