About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the FP&A Innovation & Strategic Projects team at Canadian Tire Financial Services. This role is based on-site in Oakville, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Improve financial planning processes and support the execution of the True North Strategy.
- Collaborate with business partners and the FP&A team to develop and enhance financial forecasting models.
- Work with various business units to create financial business cases.
- Participate in the monthly business review process, annual planning cycles, and periodic projections.
- Update and create management reports to support business decisions.
- Build reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Support internal clients with ad hoc analysis requests.
- Develop an understanding of the financial results and strategy of Canadian Tire Financial Services.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to draw insights from financial results.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is considered an asset.
