About the role#
As a Business Finance Intern, you will join our team to produce financial analysis that optimizes business decisions and assets. You will contribute to our growth by developing strategic insights and solutions. This is an opportunity to gain subject matter expertise in a core business area while building your financial analysis skills.
What you'll do#
- Forecast sales and business expenses while explaining key drivers of future growth.
- Analyze internal and external drivers for P&L line items.
- Support business partners with financial analysis, insights, and recommendations for special projects and sales events.
- Identify opportunities for smart spend management through fact-based decisions.
- Provide accurate reporting on performance results to the leadership team.
- Analyze operational reporting to identify opportunities for enhanced capabilities.
- Support improvements to forecasting, planning, and financial models.
- Partner across the business to drive informed decision-making.
- Translate data into actionable insights and participate in cross-functional planning discussions.
- Evaluate business opportunities and identify trends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution, preferably with a graduation date between April 2027 and April 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners.
- A logical, organized approach with an appreciation for structure and details.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Excel.
- A commitment to quality and investing in results.
- Passion for Aritzia and the fashion industry.
- A willingness to learn and apply Aritzia's values and leadership principles.
- Previous work experience in Aritzia Boutiques, Concierge, or Distribution Centres is highly valued.
