About the role#
We are looking for an FP&A Intern to join our finance team in Knoxville. This position offers hands-on experience with financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. You will support key decision-making processes by assisting with financial reporting and strategic projects.
What you'll do#
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Work with the team to create and maintain budgets and forecasts.
- Perform financial analysis and build ad-hoc reports to uncover business insights.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios and cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to collect data and align financial assumptions with operations.
- Identify ways to improve financial processes and reporting tools.
What you'll need#
- You are an upcoming junior, senior, or recent graduate with a strong academic record.
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- You have strong analytical skills and can interpret financial data.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, and other data analysis tools.
- You have a basic understanding of financial statements and financial modeling.
- You communicate well in both written and verbal formats.
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and within a team.
- You take a proactive approach to solving problems.
